Ben HarperSomewhere between the blues, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and the Dave Matthews Band, there is a category that fits Ben Harper, but I haven't found the words for it yet. His live shows are wonderfully energetic and attract quite a diverse crowd, with a heavy weighting towards the rasta set, a mess of whiteboy rasta-wannabes (in the immortal words of Skankin' Pickle - 'My hair looks like pasta! I think I'm a rasta! I'm fakin' Jamaican!'), some people wearing ties...pretty much if you want to go, you'll fit in just fine. He's got a new album out these days as well. Links of note:
