Dan Bern

Certain members of the music press have latched onto Dan Bern and are calling him "the new Dylan". Well, OK, I guess I can go along with that to a certain extent. They're both guys. And they both enunciate a little strangely when they sing. But I have to say that Dylan's songs haven't generally made me chuckle. But Dan Bern gets me there, from time to time.

"I'm walking down the road with my suitcase in my hand,
and a man says to me 'Where are you going?'
'Nowhere,' I said 'I just needed the opening line to a song,
and I tend to write from personal experience.'"
