the Black Keys

Sugar never tasted so raw. The Black Keys prove that you don't have to be a gritty, ancient ex-convict ex-sharecropper bluesman to sign to Fat Possum Records - in fact they prove that it's OK to be young, white, and from Akron, Ohio, as long as you serve your blues up with aforementioned grit. Let's not focus too much on the strange similarity of lineup (drums / guitar) and name (White Stripes...Black Keys...?) to those other neo-blues revivalist folks from Detroit. Let's just be thankful that there are more young folks who love the blues and perform it with vim and gusto.
