Bill BrufordYou may know him as the talented drummer from Yes. You may also know him as the talented drummer from King Crimson. But that will depend largely upon how much of the 70s you remember. These days, I understand he's playing jazz, which I'm sure is quite nice, though I haven't actually heard anything he's done lately.
