Death in Vegas

The last time I saw them, some three years ago, they were touring in support of their first album (Dead Elvis) which honestly was what I think of as "really bad". Amazingly, though, they managed to put on quite a good show despite the somewhat uneven quality of their studio effort. In the two years subsequent, they've shuffled the membership in the band and managed to put together a much better (and darker) quantity of material on 'The Contino Sessions'. One of their claims to fame is creating dance-y electronic tunes with *gasp* Real Instruments (!) instead of by just tweaking knobs, and they do it quite well. There aren't many electronic artists that are good at keeping slow or mid-tempo rhythms interesting, but these guys seem to do a good job.
