Delta 72

The Delta 72 are here to save the world from flabby, flaccid whitebread rock with no soul. Blazing rootsy sound and manic organ - what more could you want? Rhythm and blues with enough contagious energy to cause spontaneous booty combustion. Er, right. It has been a while since we've been treated to new material from the Delta 72 - this has finally been remedied with the release of their latest album '000', a more mature (but no less fun - in fact, actually more fun) album than their first few releases - but without the somewhat annoying feedback. It even features gospel singers. And who knew? It was apparently recorded through the same mixing board used in the creation of the Rolling Stones' 'Exile on Main Street' and Prince's 'Purple Rain'.
