M. Doughty

Mmmmm. Doughty. In case you missed Mr. Doughty's solo tour of Maine a few years ago (yes this really happened), he has kindly decided to tour a few other parts of the world. For those of you who aren't connecting on the name, Mr. Doughty was the lead singer of the now sadly ex-band Soul Coughing, known for his ad-libbing and manipulating language as he slips through his rhythmic, but oblique lyrics. Having caught his last gig in LA, I can say his solo show comes as highly recommended as the full Soul Coughing gigs used to be (when they were still together) - if not for the music, then just to hear Doughty's sharp, quick wit unleashed upon the audience. He is one of the most consistently funny people I have ever met. I should also mention that he appears to be going by Mike these days.
