Emmylou HarrisApparently, on one of her last swings through LA, Emmylou snuck in a secret show at the Troubadour which I completely missed. Oh well. Who am I to be on top of the music scene? Anyhow, Emmylou is one of the grand dames of the country music world, having kicked around the world since the early 70s. Although she still puts out some of her own work from time to time, she keeps popping up lately in shows with other folks - like a few years ago at Lucinda Williams's show at the House of Blues here in LA, she delicately swooped in on stage, her white hair aflutter, to do a duet with Lucinda. It was pretty special, I'll tell you. Links of note:
