GarmarnaImagine what would happen if you took the grinding power of Garbage's electronic / rock fusion and applied it to traditional Swedish folk tunes. Actually, someone's already beaten you to it, and that someone would be Garmarna. I'm sure someone out there in the music press will exclaim with brilliance that their album 'Vengeance' is something like 'the best Swedish electronic folk album of 1999!'. And what, pray tell, was number 2? Anyhow, they do a great job of welding more traditional instrumentation (excellent fiddle work!) with more modern sounds - and Emma Hardelin's voice is quite nice, too - even if you don't speak Swedish.
