James Brown

Although he has recently been in the news more for mischief in the area of firearms and drugs, Mr. Brown has a bit longer-running gig as the Godfather of Soul, which has allowed him the luxury of selling a $100 million bond deal backed by the future revenues from 750 of his songs. No joke. And it's probably the only thing he has in common with David Bowie and Iron Maiden.
