Jazzanova

No way! Yet another European jazz-influenced downtempo electronic artist. From what little I've been able to find of their stuff, which also includes remixes of other peoples' work, I'd say that they are more jazzy and less drum-n-bass (that is, more like Rainer Truby and less like Fauna Flash), and even have a slight leaning towards Latin jazz stylings. Jazzanova is actually a "collective" of six different DJs, so when they go out and spin records, I imagine their sound may vary a bit. Not too long ago, I saw Claas Brieler DJ in LA, and was a little surprised that the things he played had a bit heavier edge than the Jazzanova tracks I am familiar with. And they've gone and released their debut album, "In Between", which will surprise you a bit if you're only familiar with their early Brazilian-tinged singles, as the album trends into electronic soul...
