Kruder & DorfmeisterYou've heard me talk about the whole European jazzified downtempo electronic "movement" before. Well, Austrian DJs Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister are just about as close to the epicenter as you can get. Though they have released a number of DJ mix albums, I think it's fair to say their "The K&D Sessions" 2CD remix collection is as close to the current defining album of the genre and as close to a masterpiece as one could get, something I could just as easily recommend to openminded jazz fans, to those looking for a worthwhile diversion from the blight of modern rock radio, and to those looking for an easy introduction to the electronic genre. Sometimes Kruder and Dorfmeister DJ together, sometimes separately, spinning vinyl grooves from their vast collection of nifty tunes. Highly recommended. Links of note:
