One might ask why I would write up Lori Carson. She is not strange. Her music is not weird. She does not write 20 minute epic dirges about the apocalypse. She is not a member of a totalitarian art movement in Eastern Europe. In fact she is really quite normal. She sings mellow little pretty, breathy songs. More surprisingly, she may be the most mainstream musical selection these days on my little calendar. For those Lori Carson fans out there, take note that she is selling a limited edition (1000 copy) new release called "House in the Weeds" from her website.
