So after reading through all of these descriptions, if you find yourself scratching your head thinking, "Well all of this is quite nice, but I want some music with a touch of sonic nihilism to it. Something that sounds like the maddening squeal of a sackful of crazed weasels crossed with the grinding crunch that a battleship would make if it slammed into the side of a mountain.", then, this is the show for you. The Melt-Banana are a Japanese noise band whose recordings I find almost utterly unlistenable, complete with rapid-fire screamed Japanese and guttural distorted guitar which on occasion is kind of rhythmically organized. For the Japanese noise band genre, I'm sure they're all that and a pinch of wasabe, but I just can't stomach it. If you're feeling adventurous, make sure you bring good earplugs.
