Negativland

Frankly, I had almost forgotten about these guys - mostly because they haven't been up to any of their old mischief lately. Most notably, several years ago, they got themselves heavily sued by U2 for creating a parody of 'Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' - and including snippets of the original song, as well as packaging the CD to look somewhat like a new single from U2. Oh dear. For what it's worth, their parody is really quite amusing, if poorly executed (you can download the 2 songs from the ill-fated EP from the band's website - the unsold copies of their original CDs were recalled and destroyed). I can't really imagine what a Negativland concert would be like - their own songs are quite strange sound collages containing long snippets of conversations and field recordings. This could be your best bet for a really bizarre evening.
