Papa MOnce upon a time, there was a fellow who was quite interested in music. For the sake of convenience, let's call him Richard Lewis. Which happened to be his name. Which is why it is so convenient. Richard Lewis was quite a fan of instrumental bands from Chicago, and mentioned them to many of his friends. Just when they thought that he had finally mentioned every instrumental band the windy city had to offer, he managed to come up with one more, called Papa M, who was once called Aerial M, and before that, just plain old M. Papa M was the brainchild of David Pajo, who some might remember as a guitarist in the band Slint, a frequent collaborator with folky fellow Will Oldham, and also a onetime member of the jazzrock ensemble Tortoise. And Papa M went on tour with their nice, quiet songs, banjo and all. And Richard Lewis thought he should mention that fact to all of his friends. The end. Links of note:
