Ramblin Jack ElliotWay back when, he taught young Robert Dylan a thing or two about things like playing guitar and singing. He may even have shared his secret bouillabaisse recipe, too, but Dylan considers that a touchy subject, so I never bring it up. Needless to say, Ramblin' Jack has been around a bit and has seen it all - and that's just one type of ramblin'. Mr. Elliott is also prone to sharing all manner of stories about times gone by in his live shows, like about what he and Woody Guthrie got up to back in the day, or about the time he met Kris Kristofferson for the first time, or about when he's played with Johnny Cash - that would be the other type of ramblin'. He's another one of those national treasures that we're going to miss when he's gone, so don't delay too much, eh? He won't be ramblin' through your town forever, you know. Links of note:
