Velvet Chain

It's been a long time coming...but Velvet Chain have finally recorded two albums that capture their huge live sound. 'Moody Groove Music' catches both ends of the spectrum - from the Garbage-like melding of beat and guitar, to smoky Portishead-esque groove. It even has 'Oui je l'adore', the long time favorite "French song" from their live sets, as well as a surprise Cole Porter cover. And then there's their actual live album ('Live at the Temple Bar'), which captures some great live versions of songs I seemed to enjoy more in a live venue than on their older studio recordings. Velvet Chain has been lurking about on an independent label for far too long, if anyone happens to ask my opinion. Remember, Richard's Moneyback Guarantee is still in effect - if you see them and don't love the show, I'll buy your ticket. You can't lose.
