Xu Xu FangIn Xu Xu Fang's debut album 'LA during the winter of '99', we follow a hitman named Richie (who has just bungled a job) as he tries to escape the wrath of his employer, Boone. It's a truly ambitious project, blending dialogue with a soundtrack of dark, menacing music steeped in bass and horns. While the CD is an interesting listen - think old radio serials - I imagine the concept works somewhat better in a live environment with some visual effects. Links of note:
