Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The battle rages on - are the Yeah Yeah Yeahs "over" or are they just getting started? On the basis of their 5-song self-titled EP which is hotter than liquid fire - and for the record, that's a definition, not an opinion - I want to believe that this is just the beginning for vocalist Karen O and her pals Brian (drums) and Nick (guitar). It's a dangerously wicked, sexy, messy thing they do - wild and free, loud and skronky. I'm not quite as enthralled with their subsequent recordings, but at least I can cherish these 14 minutes of incendiary rock from their first.
